Introduction

BetStats ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our BetStats mobile application (the "App"), which provides research and analytics for professional sports — MLB, NBA, WNBA, NFL, and major soccer competitions.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Promo Codes: If you redeem a promotional code, we store the redemption status locally on your device.
• Saved Picks: Player picks and parlays you save within the App are stored locally on your device only.
• Saved Images: With your permission, the App can save share cards you create to your photo library. This access is add-only — the App cannot read, browse, or view your existing photos.

Information Collected Automatically

• Subscription Status: We verify your subscription status through Apple's StoreKit framework. We do not store or process your payment information directly — all payment processing is handled by Apple.
• Nothing else. The App contains no analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking of any kind.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personal contact information.
• We do not require user accounts or login credentials.
• We do not collect location data.
• We do not collect or store any payment card or banking information.
• We do not track or store your betting activity, wagers, or gambling results.

How We Use Information

We use the limited information described above to:

• Provide and maintain the App's functionality
• Verify subscription status to grant access to the App
• Display MLB, NBA, WNBA, NFL, and soccer player statistics, odds, and analytics from third-party data sources

On-Device AI

The App uses Apple's Foundation Models framework to provide on-device AI features such as prop analysis briefs, parlay line shopping, and matchup write-ups. All AI processing happens locally on your iPhone. No part of your parlays, picks, or research is ever transmitted to any server operated by us or by Apple for AI processing.

Third-Party Services

The App retrieves publicly available sports data and betting odds from the following third-party services:

• ESPN API — Player statistics, game logs, rosters, news, and injury reports across MLB, NBA, WNBA, NFL, and soccer
• NBA.com Stats API — NBA standings, schedules, team data, and league leaders
• MLB Stats API (statsapi.mlb.com) — MLB standings, schedules, box scores, pitch data, and team data
• Odds API — Player prop odds and game lines from sportsbooks (DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, BetRivers, Fanatics) across all supported sports
• Our Odds Relay Server — Odds requests travel through a server we operate (hosted on Microsoft Azure) before reaching the odds provider. These requests identify only the sport and games being viewed — never you. As with any internet service, the server receives your device's IP address in order to return a response; we do not use it to identify you and we associate no data with it.
• League Media Servers — Player headshots and team logos load directly from ESPN, NBA, and MLB image servers. When an image loads, that server receives your device's IP address, as with any image on the internet. No other information is sent.
• Apple StoreKit — Subscription and in-app purchase management
• Apple Foundation Models — On-device language model used for AI features (iOS 26+)

We do not share your personal information with these services. Data requests to these APIs contain only publicly available identifiers (team IDs, player IDs, event IDs) and do not include any user-specific information.

Data Storage

All user data (saved picks, parlays, preferences, promo code status) is stored locally on your device using iOS standard storage (UserDefaults). We do not operate servers that store user data. If you delete the App, all locally stored data is permanently removed.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request information about what data we hold about you.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data. Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it by removing the App.
• Opt-Out: You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the App.

California Residents (CCPA)

California residents have the right to:

• Know what personal information is collected about them
• Know whether their personal information is sold or disclosed and to whom
• Say no to the sale of personal information
• Access their personal information
• Request deletion of their personal information
• Not be discriminated against for exercising their privacy rights

We do not sell personal information. Since we do not collect personal information beyond what is described above, most of these rights are satisfied by default.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Privacy Policy.
